Swan Valley Neighborhood Plan Visioning Questionnaire

The Swan Valley Planning Committee has started a public participation process to support an update of the 1996 Swan Valley Neighborhood Plan.  The Swan Valley Community Council (SVCC), a public body comprised of members elected by the voters in the Upper Swan Valley, established the Swan Valley Planning Committee on November 21, 2023.  The Committee is tasked with exploring land use planning tools that could be developed to address concerns about growth and development in the Swan Valley.

Paper copies of this survey have been sent to the tax address of record for every home in the Upper Swan Valley. While non-residents are welcome to take the survey, it is intended for residents of the Missoula County portion of the Swan Valley.

The purpose of the questionnaire includes the following:

1. Involve the community in the planning process

2. Inform the demographics and homeownership status of respondents

3. Help develop community goals and strategies for the neighborhood plan update

4. Solicit public input on specific topics of concern

This questionnaire consists of 14 questions and will take about 15 minutes to complete. The online questionnaire will be open until Monday, January 3rd, 2025. Responses to the questionnaire are anonymous but the results will be publicly available on the Missoula County Voice. More information about the project is available on the Missoula County Voice website:
