Commissioners Public Meeting: Vote on acquisition, interlocal

Following years of public input and planning, the Missoula County commissioners will vote at their Thursday, Dec. 14, public meeting on the proposal for the County to purchase and manage the three parcels comprising Marshall Mountain Park.
This vote will also consider finalizing the conceptual master plan and entering into an interlocal agreement with the City of Missoula. The interlocal agreement outlines the County’s role as owner and manager, the City’s role for providing recreation programming, and how both government agencies will provide funding to support the park.

The Missoula County Commissioners and the Missoula City Council will hold a special hearing from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4 to discuss and vote on the use of Open Space Bond funds for the purchase of Marshall Mountain Park. If approved, the County and City would commit $1 million each towards the acquisition of the park.

County Parks & Trails Advisory Board Site Visit

Marshall Mountain Park
The Missoula County Parks & Trails Advisory Board will meet at Marshall Mountain Park to make a recommendation to the County Commissioners about considering the area as a new county park. City staff will also be present.
City Council Climate, Conservation and Parks Committee Meeting
The CCP committee of the Missoula City Council will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 20 from 1 to 2:10 p.m to hear a presentation from City staff about Marshall Mountain.
