Seeley Lake Rural Fire District Annexation

The property owners of the unaddressed 6.5 acre parcel located directly north of 5265 N. Placid Lake Rd. Seeley Lake, MT 59868 (Tax ID: 3704805) have petitioned the Missoula County commissioners to annex their land into the Seeley Lake Rural Fire District. The request proposes to only annex the property owned by the petitioners. The fire district has reviewed the request and agrees that the property should be included in the area that falls under their fire protection. If approved, the fire district will assess taxes to the petitioners.

Staff will present the petition to the commissioners at their public meeting at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2026, where they will hear public comment and make a decision on the request.
