Floodplain Office Hours

Missoula County Floodplain Administration staff will hold office hours for members of the public to review specific, individual questions about preliminary floodplain maps for the Clark Fork River, Bitterroot River and Rock Creek. Staff will be available during the times listed below. Walk-ins are welcome, though scheduling an appointment is encouraged. These office hours are intended to coincide with the schedule for floodplain map update open houses, and to provide more personalized research into a specific property. Other general floodplain inquiries not related to the map update should be scheduled separately.

To make an appointment or ask questions ahead of time, please contact county staff at 406-258-4657 or floodplain@missoulacounty.us. Members of the public interested in property within city limits, not under county floodplain jurisdiction, should contact City Floodplain Administration at 406-552-6625 or zoningdesk@ci.missoula.mt.us.

In-person office hours will take place on the following days from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Missoula County Planning, Development, and Sustainability Department (127 E Main St):

  • Monday, March 23
  • Tuesday, March 24
