The Missoula County Department of Planning, Development and Sustainability completed annual maintenance updates to the Missoula County Zoning Regulations, which the county commissioners adopted in 2022. The zoning regulations underwent the first maintenance update in 2023.

These routine maintenance updates provide clarity to sections of the regulations that may have led to confusion when administering them or resulted in unintended issues that were not part of the original intent of the regulations. Additionally, amendments will correct any typographical errors and copy edits that may have been overlooked during the adoption of the zoning regulations.

Staff plan to conduct routine maintenance of the zoning code. You can find proposed maintenance updates under the documents widget to the right. Keep in mind these documents have not been formatted to their final version. After final adoption of the maintenance updates, the documents will be reformatted and published.
