Redistricting

    the act of drawing new political boundaries, which happens every 10 years in Montana to ensure each house district has equal representation.

    Precinct

    Senate District

    an area that is represented by one member of the Montana State Senate. Senate districts are composed of two contiguous house districts, and each of the 50 senate districts must also be divided evenly by population.
