In October 2022, Missoula County Parks, Trails and Open Lands replaced the fence along the eastern boundary to Rosecrest Park and notified homeowners next to the park that after the fence was replaced, the gated entrance to the park would be locked.
Since that notice, staff have heard objections to this restriction of motor vehicles. Parks, Trails and Open Lands mailed another notice Oct. 28 announcing the gate would remain unlocked until staff receive public comment and determine next steps.
Staff sought public comment on this page until December and heard comments in-person at the Thursday, Nov. 17, Missoula County Parks and Trails Advisory Board meeting.
