Missoula County commissioners approved this subdivision at their July 7, 2022, public meeting.

The Dairy Subdivision is 14-lot single-family residential subdivision located south of North Avenue and east of Clements Road in the Target Range neighborhood. This proposal is to create 13 single family residential lots averaging approximately 16,800 square feet each, with two acres reserved for Lot 14 for future development. The property is 9.96 acres and is legally described as Lots 58 and 59 of Orchard Home Company’s Addition No. 6.

  • The developer’s main consideration when designing this subdivision was separating the lots from an irrigation ditch by including a common area and designing the entrances so only one crosses the ditch.
  • The proposed main street serving Lots 1-9, 13 and future divisions of 14 will be called Betty Jo Lane and be accessed via North Avenue. This road may continue east with future development. The remaining Lots 10-12 will be accessed by a cul-de-sac street named Dale Court.

Prime farmland soil is rare and every square foot should be conserved for is highest and best use. I understand that you are bound by state directives, that doesn't mean it's right. Fight for what's right. This is not!
